I'm Madam Twirl.
I've spent a lifetime creating, writing, teaching, celebrating, solving problems, and practicing the fine art of hospitality.
And along the way, I've learned a few things.
I've learned that people remember how we make them feel. That experience is meant to be shared. That curiosity keeps life interesting. That kindness really, REALLY matters. And that every problem travels with its solution—sometimes the two simply need a proper introduction.
These days, I'm interested in doing more of what delights me: writing, creating, sharing what I've learned, lending my experience to interesting problems, projects, and possibilities—and leaving a few magical moments in my wake.
After a lifetime of gathering stories, lessons, observations, mistakes, triumphs, and more than a little wisdom, it feels like the perfect time to share them.
As for what comes next?
I'm leaving a little room for that.

About Madam Twirl
Darlings, what else are you supposed to do when you're born a hostess? Spend your life spreading the magic of hospitality, of course!
I got right to work on my life's work decades ago, when my days still included playing Barbies before heading off to help my mom serve lunch at my parents' little café.
Believe it or not, I waited on my first table when I was eight years old.
And I've been practicing the fine art of hospitality ever since.
Looking back now, I can hardly believe my good fortune. I've spent a lifetime scattering that particular bit of magic—across restaurant tables, businesses, weddings, celebrations, classrooms, and gatherings of every kind. Along the way, I've had the extraordinary privilege of welcoming thousands of people into my care.
And wherever I go, whatever I happen to be doing, the hostess comes with me.
Because after all these years, there is one thing I know for sure: hospitality has the power to change the world, one positive interaction at a time.
That's the magic.
That's hospitality.
And darlings, that is my legacy.
